Our Ministry: Deacon, jr deacon, deaconess, Sunday school, music & choirs, Christian education, youth, young adult, mission, usher, vacation bible school, pastor support, armor bearer ministry, men & women, culinary, new members, office staff, nursery, sound, greeters, beatifying, liturgy dance, and ministerial staff. In planning marriage & single ministry.
Prayer
I thank You, Father, that my soul prospers in You this week. And, as a result, I speak Your Word that I am blessed and prosperous in every area and aspect of my life. I thank You for keeping me in good health and continually healed from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. I thank You that Your healing virtue flows through me continually. By the authority of Your Word, I confess that no plague, sickness, not any spirit of infirmity shall come nigh my dwelling. In the name of Jesus, Amen
Sunday School
Sunday School: We are building a solid biblical foundation that would transform lives of our church members by teaching the Word of God to all ages.
Pastorial Care Committee
The Pastorial Care Committee was organized to encourage and honor the man of God who was chosen by God to faithfully serve the people of God. We believe that our ministry is worthy of his hire.
Men And Women's Ministries
The men and women's auxiliaries of LSMBC were organized to further develope Christian character among its members. Our goals are to carry out the great commissions of out Lord and Savior, to make deciples. To relieve the Pastor by doing special work for the men and women of our congregation. To be united in prayer. To develope strength by being united spiritually. To learn how to give our very best and pray for what is needed.
Vacation Bible School
Law Street Baptist Church Vacational Bible School is an outreach ministry used to religiously and spiritually educate our children. VBS is usually held for one week in the month of June. Bible lessons, music, arts and crafts, and games are an integral part of our curriculum. The ministry staff is comprised of dedicated and spirit filled Christians who love children.
Youth
We wish to mentor our Youth by showing empathy and sympathy to their emotional needs. Also building a trusted relationship with our youth population. We have organize program as church program, youth choir, outdoor activities that have a theological, liturgical, and ethic foundation.
Ministry Of Music At LSMBC
The music ministry at Law Street Missionary Baptist Church is comprised of members who recognize that they possess God given talent and a calling to serve the Lord and minister to others through spiritual music and music related artistic expressions of praise, worship and edification. There are two adult choirs at our church. The Sanctuary choir ministers on the first and second Sunday of each month. The Male Chorus ministers each third Sunday. Our Youth Choir serves each fourth Sunday.
The primary responsibility of the ministering choir in the worship service is to usher in the Spirit of God and to make His presence apparent to all who are present. As the glory of the Lord fills the house there is rejoicing and expressions of gratitude among the people. Songs from the choir affirm the gospel and prepare the waiting hearts to be receptive to the preached word.
Community Service
Since hurricane Katrina, we have rebuilt our church and want to help rebuild our community by providing programs for youth and adults. Program that would expand their knowledge, skills and abilities by providing programs for GED education, after school tutoring, computer assisted job training. Also providing safe and reliable child care for working parents in the future planning.
